Journey Times
The journey from Rome or Ancona to Spoleto by car is approx
1 hour 45 mins.
The journey from Perugia airport to Spoleto is about 30 mins.

Directions from Rome
Take the ring road (Grande Raccordo) around Rome and leave
at Exit 10 marked Firenze
Continue north on the A1 until the exit marked Orte. (The
previous exit is for Magliano Sabina).There is a road toll
of E3 -4 to pay here.
After tolls, turn right, follow signs to Terni and then to
Spoleto.
On arriving in Spoleto the road takes you through a tunnel
beneath ‘La Rocca’ – a large castle on the
sky line.
Continue on this road north of Spoleto (3km) until you are
signed on a right exit to Eggi & San Giacomo
First right at the roundabout is signposted to Eggi (1.5km).
Arriving in the lower piazza, Villa de Pazzi is on your left
and the communal fonti(water supply) in front of you.
Take Via del Campo Verde immediately right of the fonti–
the road is narrow and winds to the left before going briefly
up the hill.
Drive straight through the iron gates ahead of you into the
Garden of Eggi, No 35 Via del Campo Verde.
Directions from Ancona
Leave the airport and look for signs to Jesi.
Do not join the A14 Bologna-Pescara highway.
There is one moment of uncertainty – go straight ahead
and more signs appear!
Jesi is not far along this road but soon you will meet signs
for Rome and Foligno.
Continue to Foligno – about 80 mins on a good journey.
There are frustrating sections where goods vehicles are difficult
to pass but the journey is always quicker that the other routes.
From there you are signed to Spoleto.
You will pass Trevi on your way and eventually leave this
road where it is signed to Eggi. At the intersection turn
left and at the roundabout there are signs to Eggi (1.5km).

Airport
Follow the signs towards Spoleto and Roma. When you have joined
the dual carriageway you will pass Spello, Foligno, Trevi
and finally be signed for Eggi.
